Modern Slavery Statement
Finacoff Ltd
Approved: 14th March 2025
Introduction
At Finacoff, our understanding and definition of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking is aligned with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and guided by the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions on forced or compulsory labour.
Modern slavery offences include slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, human trafficking, and slavery-like practices such as debt bondage, exploitation of children, and forced marriage. Each represents a deprivation of liberty for personal or commercial gain.
This statement is published both to comply with the Modern Slavery Act and to communicate our commitment to tackling and preventing modern slavery across our business and supply chains.
Our Business
Finacoff Ltd is a coffee manufacturing company, specialising in sourcing, roasting, packaging, and distributing roasted coffee for retailers, hospitality groups, and distributors worldwide.
Our mission is to take a proactive, collaborative approach to ensure our business and supply chains operate ethically, transparently, and responsibly.
At Finacoff, we aim to create a better future for our colleagues, partners, and the communities we influence. This includes continuing the tradition of fair dealing that fosters long-term relationships, thriving communities, and sustainable growth.
We are committed to providing safe and fair working conditions for all employees in accordance with international standards, and to protecting their health, safety, and wellbeing.
Our Supply Chains
Our coffee is sourced through direct contracts with farmers, farming co-operatives, and trusted long-term trading partners. Many of our suppliers are certified members of international quality assurance and sustainability schemes, including:
-
SEDEX
-
Rainforest Alliance
-
UTZ
-
Fairtrade
-
Organic
Wherever possible, we work with suppliers who share our values and demonstrate compliance with ethical and sustainable trade practices.
Standards & Commitments
Finacoff has adopted the Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) Base Code of labour practice across our operations, and we encourage our supply partners to do the same. The ETI Base Code — based on ILO conventions — addresses key issues including wages, hours of work, health and safety, non-discrimination, and the prevention of forced or bonded labour.
We believe the risk of modern slavery, human trafficking, or child labour within our organisation is substantially reduced through our policies, practices, and employee training. Our business is subject to independent audits and is regularly assessed against international standards, including the Supplier Guiding Principles (SGP).
Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
We continue to strengthen our processes to monitor compliance among our suppliers, supported by independent third-party audits and assurance schemes.
Additionally, Finacoff invests in long-term community and infrastructure projects in coffee-growing regions, helping producers and their families build sustainable futures through improved education, healthcare, water systems, and farming practices. We believe that by financing such projects, we help address root causes that leave communities vulnerable to exploitation.
